Energy and Resource-Oriented Applications of Inorganic Functional Nanomaterials
Date:2026-10-28

Professor Wang Cheng’s team, focusing primarily on the controlled synthesis, structural characterization, and energy- and resource-related applications of inorganic functional nanomaterials. In response to the demand for highly transparent and conductive materials in flexible electronics, the team developed silver nanowires with varying diameters and high aspect ratios in an aqueous-phase system, breaking foreign technological monopolies and blockades, and providing technical support for the flexible electronics industry. In the field of efficient organic electrosynthesis, taking advantage of the low thermodynamic standard potential of organic small molecule electrooxidation, the team developed high-performance electrocatalysts that achieve hydrogen production at industrial-level current densities while simultaneously producing high-value-added carboxylic acids. To meet the strategic demand for novel energy storage systems, the team has prepared flexible nanofiber membranes suitable for constructing safe and stable high-energy-density lithium metal batteries.
