The Institute for New Energy Materials and Low-Carbon Technologies was established in September 2016. Focusing on cutting-edge scientific and technological advancements and major national needs, and leveraging Tianjin’s leading pillar industries and strategic emerging industries, the Institute conducts research and development on new energy materials and devices centered on the efficient conversion and storage of new energy. The Institute has established multiple research platforms, including the International Joint Research Laboratory of Materials Microstructure, the 111 Project on New Energy Materials, and the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Advanced Functional Porous Materials.
