承担国家自然科学基金面上、青年项目、天津市自然科学基金等项目。在PNAS, Natl. Sci.Rev., Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., CCS Chem.等期刊发表论文40余篇,他引近3000次,申请国家发明专利两项。入选天津市“131创新人才培养工程”、天津理工大学首批英才教授。卓越期刊Chin. Chem.
