为了加强天津理工大学新能源材料与低碳技术研究院的国际交流与合作，2018年6月14日，欧洲科学院院士，日本国家先进工业科学技术研究所徐强教授教授访问我院，并为师生们作了题为“Nanostructured Materials for Energy Applications”的学术报告。来自新能源材料与低碳技术研究院、材料科学与工程学院及相关学院的师生参加了此次报告会。
Qiang Xu received his PhD in 1994 from Osaka University. He is the Director of AIST-Kyoto University Chemical Energy Materials Open Innovation Laboratory (ChEM-OIL), Distinguished Professor at Yangzhou University, Adjunct Professor at Kobe University/Kyoto University, and a Distinguished Honorary Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received the Thomson Reuters Research Front Award in 2012 and was recognized as a highly cited researcher (2014 & 2015 & 2016 & 2017) in both Chemistry and Engineering by Thomson Reuters. His research interests include the chemistry of nanostructured materials and their applications, especially for catalysis and energy. He has published more than 300 papers with citations > 22000 and an h-index > 77 (Web of Science). He is involved in a number of editorial/advisory boards of journals, including ChemEnergy (Elsevier, Editor-in-Chief), Coordination Chemistry Reviews (Elsevier; Associate Editor), Chem (Cell Press), Chem-an Asian Journal (Wiley) and Advanced Sustainable Systems (Wiley). He is a fellow of the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc).
